Marta Szlubowska and her daughter Julia Kirk started performing as the Duo Vivace in 2010, playing the Bartok duos for two violins, and other works by Mozart, Beethoven and Pleyel.
In addition to being a violinist in the group, Julia plays the viola and piano. With three instruments to choose from, Duo Vivace has a vast repertoire to present to its audiences including violin/piano sonatas by Beethoven, Mozart, Eccles, Dvorak, show pieces such as Monti’s Csardas, A. Beach’s Romance and larger works such as Mozart’s Symphonie Concertante for violin, viola and orchestra, Sarasate’s Navarra for two violins and orchestra and much more!
